What’s a Greek vacation without a cruise?
Sailing from the port of Corfu Town
You will see the old town of Corfu and its two Venetian fortresses. Sailing south, you will see the Kanoni Peninsula and the Palace of Mon Repos – the birthplace of Prince Phillip. The tourist resorts of Perama, Benitses, the village of Kavos and the southernmost point of Corfu – Cape Asprokavos. Approaching the channel between Corfu and the island of Paxos, you will see magnificent views of olive trees and cypresses covering the lush island of Paxos.
Sailing from the port of Lefkimmi, in the southern part of the island
You will see Cape Asprokavo and further on you will see the island of Paxos, which is about 13 km away from the island of Corfu.
Legend has it that the island of Paxos was formed by the sea god Poseidon when he cut off a piece of Corfu with a powerful blow of his trident and dragged it south to create an idyllic haven for his great love, the nymph Amphitrite.
North Paxos features the natural bay of Lakka and a traditional village unspoilt by mass tourism, perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. The boat docks at Lakka harbour and docks in the centre of the colourful village. You can enjoy Lakka or take a walk around the area and explore nearby areas. See links and a map at the bottom of the text.
We continue sailing south along the western coast of the island of Paxos, enjoying the spectacular rocky coastline. The ship enters breathtaking sea caves, whose clear blue waters will leave you speechless. The marine area of the Blue Caves is the natural habitat of the Mediterranean monk seal (monachus monachus).
Paxos, Antipaxos and the surrounding area are included in the ΝΑΤURΑ 2000 network of nature conservation areas. We arrive at the small but perfectly formed island of Antipaxos, whose sandy bays with blue water have been compared to the bays of the Caribbean Sea. Here you will have the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear waters of the “Paradise Beach” (Voutoumi).
We return to the island of Paxos from the eastern side of the island, where we will see the small islands of Skaltsonisi and Mongonisi, the picturesque harbor of the village of Gaios, and two small islands – Panagia and Agios Nikolaos.
You are free to enjoy the sun and buy refreshments from the bar throughout the trip. It is an unforgettable Ionian Sea experience!

What to do in Lakka
Kanoni Beach (0.25 km) and Harami Beach (0.4 km). Two wonderful beaches next to each other and very close to the port, suitable for relaxation, swimming and very picturesque. Harami is larger, with large white pebbles and very popular, you can see yachts and ships coming into the port. Surrounded by cypress and olive trees, which provide shade.
Kanoni is a smaller beach, between Harami and the village center, accessible by a narrow path. Kanoni is rocky, but as soon as you enter the sea, sand greets you. The white pebbles on the seabed give the water a beautiful turquoise color.
Komeno Beach (0.9 km) is a white pebble beach, with sand once you enter the water. It is a great place to relax, sunbathe and enjoy the crystal clear beach.
Secret Beach and Hidden Cave (0.9 km) This small beach is located in a secluded bay with crystal clear water. A real hidden gem of Lakka. You will walk along the beautiful coast of Lakka, through olive groves. At the end of the beach you will find a secret cave. An ideal place for sunbathing, swimming and admiring the breathtaking scenery.
Lighthouse (1 km) . The lighthouse is impressive in its appearance – a 10.7-meter-high square tower overlooking the northern coast of Paks. The lighthouse began operating in 1825, used olive oil, and worked until 1913, when the old mechanism was replaced by a more modern oil mechanism. In 1919, the lighthouse was destroyed by an unexpected landslide and a new square tower was built, which we see today. Although turned off during World War II, the lighthouse operated until 1979, when electricity replaced the oil machines. Walk to the lighthouse along the path, which offers wonderful views.
Plana Beach (1.5 km) is located on the northwestern coast of Paxos, below the lighthouse. It is a rocky beach with large smooth pebbles and flat sea cliffs (called Plani), which are easy to walk on. The beach is usually reached by a path with beautiful views.
Pounante taverna in Laka. This is the tavern of Rūτa, a Lithuanian woman living on the island of Paxos, and her family. Say hello! We recommend having a bite to eat there!
