We begin our journey at one of the most beautiful places on Corfu, Paleokastritsa.
According to legend, the God of Time, Chronos, struck the rocks with lightning, creating a heart-shaped beach.
Here, you will have time to swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters.
Our route then leads uphill to the village of Lakones.
From the famous “Bella Vista” viewpoint, we admire the heart-shaped beach from above.
This viewpoint is considered one of the ten most beautiful in Europe.
The winding mountain road that takes us to Lakones was also featured in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only.
Next, we visit Angelokastro, one of the island’s most important castles.
Built during the Byzantine Empire and later reinforced under Venetian rule, the fortress played a key role in defending Corfu from Ottoman invasions.
Perched high on a rocky peak, it rewards those who climb with breathtaking panoramic views that stretch as far as the island’s capital.
As we continue along scenic mountain roads, we make a final stop at the traditional village of Makrades.
The village is known for its local wine, honey, and fruit products, and there will be time to browse and purchase authentic Corfiot goods.
